Local tackle dealer and well respected angler Andy Rutherford has agreed to sponsor a open competition, the RUTHERFORDS GOOD FRIDAY OPEN. Andy is a very valuble sponsor of SSAC and has been for a good while now,he is obviously happy with the way our Open competitions are organised and we are delighted that he has now decided to take this step, Andy himself asked for this particular date (good Friday) as this will enable him to take part in both the competition and the presentation of the prizes. There is £1000 cash and a prize table to the value of £2000+
Also I would like to take this opportunity to remind anglers that this competition is a qualifier for the GOLDEN-ROLLOVER, only 31 have qualified so far to fish for the £1000 prize fund, and as there is not many more opportunities left can you afford not to have a go!.

Seaham Sea Angling Club have agreed to help organize / host a competition in association with Billingham Tackle Box in aid of Help 4 Heros charity. The aim of this charity is to raise money to fund the rehabilitation of wounded service men and women. We as a club are delighted to have been approached to assist in this project and would ask our members and Sea Anglers in general to support what is a very worth while cause.
